Digital Color Matching

Patients are smiling better than ever, thanks to our new digital shade matching system. ClearMatch Shade Communication Software and our new digital camera allow the equivalent of custom staining and glazing for every ceramic restoration.

Our new camera is a Fuji S2 Pro, with a 105mm Macro (close-up) lens and a dedicated macro flash.

We take a picture of teeth to be restored, with a black and white grid and a shade tab for reference. ClearMatch software calibrates color from the image, then builds a “paint by numbers” map for each tooth to show patterns of color. A key helps our ceramists choose which porcelain colors to use.

The results are fabulous. We also use the camera for Invisalign® orthodontic cases, and for cosmetic cases in general.
